With a gaming floor of nearly 7,400 machines, ensuring game integrity is essential for regulatory compliance and public trust. Machine malfunctions can trigger player disputes, reputational harm, and lost revenue. To address this, the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission created the innovative Reliability=Trust program, a multi-pronged approach focused on preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and targeted troubleshooting. Since its launch five years ago, malfunctions dropped from 7,451 in 2020 to 930 in 2024, improving profitability, uptime, equipment lifespan, and player confidence.
