Wohoši and the Shift to Tribal-Owned Data Systems
As demand for AI, cloud computing, and secure infrastructure grows, Tribal Nations are being approached to host large data centers. While these projects offer opportunity, they also strain power systems, increase water use, and often limit tribal participation. This session introduces Data Grids, node-based digital infrastructure networks that provide similar capacity without the same resource burden. Panelists will examine how this model supports tribal ownership, governance, and security while aligning with renewable energy strategies and creating long-term economic value.
