We’ll take a deep dive into the Pokagon Band’s establishment of the first tribal-owned casino in the State of Indiana, a Class II facility. Integral to this discussion will be the Tribe’s decision to pursue a Certificate of Self-Regulation from the NIGC. The presenters will discuss the benefits of seeking self-certification and the detailed assessment conducted by the NIGC in evaluating the Tribe’s qualification for certification, as well as the ongoing processes necessary to maintain the Tribe’s Certificate of Self-Regulation.
