Azadeh Tavakoli is Meskwaki (Sac & Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa) and Iranian, and brings nearly two decades of experience in Human Resources across Tribal and medical organizations. She currently serves as the Director of Development for the NNAHRA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing Tribal human resources professionals nationwide.

Azadeh holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Illinois State University and is certified as a Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP II),  and a Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP).

Since 2015, Azadeh has served on the NNAHRA Board in various capacities, contributing to the organization's mission of strengthening Tribal HR through education, advocacy, and collaboration. In her current role, she is focused on building partnerships, securing resources, and expanding the Foundation’s reach to empower HR professionals serving Tribal communities.

Passionate about equity, sovereignty, and leadership development, Azadeh is committed to creating pathways for future generations of Indigenous HR leaders.
