Biography: James Downing, Chief Executive Officer, Bolton

James Downing serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Bolton, where he oversees the management and strategic direction of the company. With more than 25 years of expertise in Total Reward programs and organizational management, James has demonstrated an exceptional ability to design, implement, administer, and communicate a full spectrum of retirement, health & welfare, and executive compensation programs.

Before joining Bolton, James held key roles of increasing responsibility at T. Rowe Price, Black & Decker Corporation, and McCormick & Company. In these positions, he led global strategy, plan design, competitive positioning, and cost optimization for health and wellness initiatives, as well as spearheaded major corporate projects.

James is deeply engaged in his professional and personal communities. He is currently an Advisory Board Member with the Family Tree and The Peabody Institute, has contributed as a member of the Maryland Business Group on Health, advised on client boards, and served in leadership capacities for organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hopewell Cancer Support, and Family & Children Services of Central Maryland.
