Born and raised in San Francisco, Janet has always had a passion for recruitment, with 30 years in the human resources industry. She has much experience working with several Tribal Casinos since 2005. She worked at Pala Resort & Casino for two years, and Pechanga Resort and Casino for 15 years. She began her HR career in the file room and with much dedication and drive over the years, worked her way up to a Director of Talent Management. She attended San Francisco State and received her master’s Certification in HR from Cornell University.

Committed to always learning and improving, she is certified with Tribal Human Resource Professional (THRP), Certified Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS), Certified Staffing Professional (CSP), Analytics for Talent Management (ATM), Digital Social Media Certified (DSMC), and Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter (CSSR). Janet was elected as a NNAHRA Board Member in 2019 and became a staff team member April 2021. Janet is always excited to work with all the tribes in our Nation, and her mission is to help others in HR across the map.
