Lance Morgan
Lance Morgan is an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and President and Chief Executive Officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc. The corporation is owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska with a mission to improve the lives of Tribal members through employment and Tribal economic self-sufficiency.
Morgan is one of the founders of Ho-Chunk, Inc. Under his leadership, the corporation has grown to over 2,000 employees across numerous subsidiary companies with total annual revenues exceeding $484 million. The award-winning approach reinvests in the Winnebago community through programs, partnerships and charitable donations focused on employment, housing, education, youth and elders.
Morgan is also a founding partner of the law firm Big Fire Law & Policy, LLP. The Nebraska-based firm specializes in Indian law. Morgan has consulted with hundreds of tribal governments on economic development and taxation.
Morgan serves on the boards of several foundations and other entities. He is an adjunct professor at Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Nebraska (1990) and graduated from Harvard Law School (J.D. 1993).
