Shauna L. Williams, a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, serves as the Executive Director of Communications for the Choctaw Nation. With a career spanning over two decades, Shauna has consistently championed the integration of cultural integrity and authentic storytelling into every facet of her work. Her journey began at Choctaw Management Services Enterprise, followed by impactful roles in education, scholarship development, and project management within Choctaw Casinos & Resorts. In 2014, she transitioned into a leadership role as Director of Project Management, where she guided cross-functional teams through major tribal initiatives. Her visionary leadership continued as Real Estate Development Director, where she played a pivotal role in landmark projects such as the Grant Casino & Resort Expansion, Tribal Headquarters, Durant Casino & Resort Sky Tower Expansion, and Choctaw Landing in Hochatown. Now, as Executive Director of Communications, Shauna leads with purpose—overseeing public relations, creative services, historic projects, and public arts. She is a passionate advocate for storytelling that uplifts and respects the Choctaw people, ensuring that every narrative reflects the strength, resilience, and beauty of her tribal community. Her work is deeply rooted in honoring heritage while paving the way for future generations. Shauna is a proud recipient of Oklahoma Next Gen’s Under 30 award, a graduate of Leadership Native Oklahoma (Class of 2019), and Leadership Oklahoma (Class 37), and a 2026 Distinguished Alumnus at Eastern Oklahoma State College. She also serves on the board of the Oklahoma State University American Indian Alumni Society, continuing her commitment to mentorship and representation.
